August 2025: Water Access and Flood Relief Across Pakistan

Water Projects Delivered We built 263 handpump wells and 41 deep water wells across Mirpurkhas, Badin, Khairpur, Umerkot, and Sanghar districts. These wells now provide clean water directly in villages where families previously walked 2-3 kilometers daily to unsafe sources. Girls who missed school for water collection are now attending classes. Women have more time for childcare and other activities.

In Tharparkar's desert region, we installed a solar-powered water center serving 1,600+ people and 550+ animals. Families no longer depend on expensive water tankers or long walks in extreme heat. Livestock mortality from dehydration has decreased, improving household incomes from milk production.

Flood Response in District Buner Flash floods in August killed dozens and displaced thousands in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Buner district. We supported 1,200 affected families with food packs, shelter repair tools, hygiene kits for women, kitchen sets, and winter supplies. Each family received what they needed most - some got food, others got shelter materials, others got hygiene supplies.

Healthcare in Remote Areas Our Mobile Medical Unit conducted 10 health sessions in Tharparkar, educating 200 people about maternal health, nutrition, and safe water practices. We treated 328 patients for dehydration, skin infections, respiratory issues, and malnutrition in areas with limited healthcare access.

What's Next Flood-affected families in Punjab and Sindh still need food, clean water, and shelter support. We continue building wells and responding where communities need us most.
