DONATE

Every drop counts.

When you donate to Paani, every dollar of your donation goes towards building a well. But your donation goes far beyond a well – by donating, you are taking an active part in transforming villages with the gift of clean water. Clean water is the key to health, preventing life-threatening waterborne diseases such as cholera. Clean water is the key to hygiene and sanitation education, promoting positive health behaviors among the next generation of Pakistani youth. Join us in making clean water a reality.

See some of the stories of the lives impacted by Paani below.

We ask Allah to grant our dear brother, Ali Abdul-Jawad AlKass, a complete and speedy recovery following a car accident on June of last year.
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “cure your sick with charity” and “there are no rights that the son of Adam is more entitled to than these 4 rights: a home he can live in, a garment to cover himself with, a piece of bread, and water”. Alhamdulilah we were able to build a well in Pakistan that provides water to hundreds as a source of Sadaqa Jariyah (continuous charity) for Ali. We ask Allah to accept our efforts and to make it a cure for him from his sickness and a relief from his distress. Oh Allah as you have completed this blessed work, complete the healing of our brother Ali. Grant him a cure that leaves behind no ailment. Return his consciousness, health, strength, and return him to us unharmed as if he was never afflicted by it.
Please keep him, his family, and his friends in your duas.
Peace and Blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad.

“We had 4 children: 3 daughters and 1 son. When my son was born with mental disabilities, I prayed God would make life easy for him. He answered my prayer with a husband who stood by my side in the good times and bad.
A couple of years ago, my husband, the breadwinner, died unexpectedly. I prayed for him. I prayed God would provide for my 3 daughters and son. He answered my prayer with a job as a maid and a salary to provide for my family.
2 months ago, Coronavirus took away my job and ability to provide food for my family. Right now, I am doing the only thing I know how to do: Pray. This time is different though. When I pray, I can taste the salt from my tears. I have every urge to pray for another solution this time around but honestly, I just want * ?????? * (peace) for once in my life. But I can’t be selfish right now. I have to think about my children. I am still waiting for my answer but I know it will come soon.”- ??? ????

These young girls are the future of Tharparkar, their villages and generational home. Lack of purified drinking water has been a global crisis which has plagued not only their village, but thousands of others. Thanks to our generous donors these beautiful smiles will never have to worry about access to clean water again!

When Paani first started, our goal was to fundraise a single well in Tharparkar, Sindh by selling doughnuts for six months. Today, we have built 700+ shallow and deep water wells across Sindh, KPK and, Balochistan and provided clean and tested water to more than 80,000 women and children. Never could we have imagined that we’d get to where we are now. Thank you to our donors and friends, who believe in our mission as much as we do. With your continued support, we’re here to ripple our impact and continue to make a difference!

According to the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources, Pakistan is predicted, by 2025 to reach extreme water shortages. This is compounded with the fact that in present-day, only 1 in 5 people have access to clean drinking water. The other 80% of people are forced to resort to digesting water that has been contaminated with a mixture of sewage and pesticides. The water crisis isn’t something that’s going to improve until you step in.
